So, the second quarter of 2025 ended on June 30th. As such, it’s time to see the progression of the projects left over from the last two quarters. Will I personally redeem myself or will it be a matter of disappointment?
After all, in the previous two quarters I accomplished very little. The reasons are laid out in the previous blog. What about this one? I still encountered multiple hurdles in May and June, some personal and some work related.
Well, I feel like I moved forward on several projects. As I mentioned in the past, any progress is a win. Happily, this quarter gave us nothing but victories!!
I made progress on two of the three goals of this quarter. Now the slightly bad news – I technically did not finish any of the three goals I mentioned in the last blog.
Starting with the three remaining heroes from Reaper Miniatures, Dragons Don’t Share 2013 edition I am left with one last hero, the elf ranger. I finished a third of the model before I ran out of time. I am going to be able to finish him in this next quarter, most likely.

The second goal consisted of the town square center piece done by King Games for their Dunkeldorf range. I made excellent progress on this model over the quarter. Despite this, it keeps presenting even more details that need attention as I work in various sections. Due to that, progress remains slower than anticipated. However, I look forward to the end result. Will it be finished by the end of the new quarter? Again, most likely.

The third and final goal for quarter 2 of 2025 – the female giant. Perhaps the model with the least amount of work accomplished in the quarter. I believe I applied additional layers of the base skin color in select areas that seemed slightly off to my eyes. This model has now been on the list longer than I like. If no real progress happens over the next three months, I may set it off to the side like the Kings of War Elves. If work progresses on the model, then it remains in the line up.

For the third quarter of 2025 I still have the same goals as the previous quarter. Finish the Dragons Don’t Share 2013 heroes, the Dunkeldorf Town Square center piece and the Dungeons & Lasers Storm Giantess. I am going to add a single other model because of the closeness of being able to finish two of the goals. The model is about 42mm and sculpted by Labyrinth Models called the Labyrinth Witch. I started it last summer and invested in finally completing this beautiful piece. Till next time – paint fearlessly. It’s just paint and you can fix any mistakes.
